I suppose our official dessert would have to be the apple pie - or maybe the cheesecake. I know that the state fruit is the apple; so, I suppose the argument in favor of either the apple pie or the cheesecake would be a heated one. Of course, you'd first have to convince the NY legislators to actually spend time debating the idea in Albany.
